Concept Storyboards for the Season 6 TV Promo for "The Deadliest Catch" Part 2

Prologue Films, Film and Television Branding Concepts and Storyboards 2009

Prologue Films, Film and Television Branding Concepts and Storyboards 2009

While working for Prologue Films in 2009, I had the opportunity to pitch concept design storyboards and film branding for many film and TV projects. The team of designers I was working alongside with were an inspiring bunch. The environment was a fast paced and very demanding but at the same time we were able to be creatively engaged in producing concepts for film and TV. I appreciate having learned so much from my time there.

The storyboards below were designed for the end title sequence and a concept for the credits scroll. The project brief was mostly open ended and
I was able to design freely as long as I kept to the spirit of the film franchise.

The Season 6 TV Promo for the tv show, “The Deadliest Catch” pitch I made shows the wintery waves crashing onto the screen showing video footage from the season. This concept was chosen and produced by a production company.

Invisible Cities, Book and Poster

These projects were made as an undergrad at UIC, School of Art & Design (now School of Design). For this graphic design course I wrote an essay on the Italo Calvino book, “Invisible Cities” which was then turned into a book. Another project in the class was to make paper sculptures as a way to experiment with composition in a three dimensional space. I used one of the paper sculptures in a mock promotional poster design. I tried to reflect the themes described in “Invisible Cities” with an emphasis on space, visual patterns, repetition of shapes, and colors.

Expedia Group Brands Email Marketing

Expedia Group Brands Email Marketing

Email marketing production design at Expedia Group is an important part of every marketing campaign as the messaging gets sent out directly to loyal customers. The email marketing designs below shows email heroes and mockup templates I worked on from over the years between 2017 to 2024.

The marketing campaign project process had gone through many different iterations going through countless discussions on how to improve collaboration amongst many different stake holders and teams . Over time I believe the teams I had collaborated with at Expedia Group had worked very hard creating a more efficient project process that enabled us all to work better together on all of the brands and various campaigns throughout the year.

Expedia and Hotels.com Email Mockups, 2024.

This is a selection of email mockups for Expedia and Hotels.com. These marketing campaigns were produced through lots of planning and collaboration within Expedia Group. These email mockups were created in Figma using all of the brand elements in the various templates including brand specific colors, icons, list formatting, and buttons are integrated when they are needed in each template.

Internal Company Email Invitation for Expedia Group’s Brand Marketing Team in London, November, 2022.

The Expedia Group’s UK brand marketing team requested animated email hero graphics for drinks with the team outing after hours. While at Expedia Group, internal design projects like these were very rare and presented a nice break from the regulated branding the design team normally adheres to.

Travelocity Email Heroes from 2017 to 2020.

This a selection of Travelocity branded email heroes. The Travelocity Email Marketing team often had very specific and detailed requests that needed to always adhere to the Travelocity brand guidelines.

Orbitz Email Heroes, 2018.

Around 2018, Orbitz had redesigned the look and feel of their advertising and launched the Just Like That Ad Campaign. Through the brand’s promotional redesign, I worked on production marketing design emails heroes that included the 48-Hour Hotel Sale Promo Code email campaign and The Orbitz Mystery Hotel Deals animated email hero. The animated email request was to create a scrolling effect for to encourage the email recipient to click through to discover the hotel promotions.

ebookers is a brand whose customer base is more prominent in Europe. For the team I was in at Expedia Group, all of the ebookers marketing campaigns would be produced in multiple languages.

Birthday Email Template for Orbitz and Cheaptickets, 2018.

In 2018, the email marketing team for Orbitz and Cheaptickets brands requested a special personalized email for members subscribing to the brand’s newsletter.

The teal background email with the sparkler on a cupcake was sent out to Orbitz members. The white background, blue and pale red type, and cupcake with sprinkles email was sent out to Cheaptickets. The “AVERYLONGNAME!” text is a placeholder that would be populated dynamically with the recipient’s first name. The “XXXXX” at the bottom is a placeholder for the promo code which was added later.
