Univers Typeface Poster

This poster project was made as an undergrad at UIC, School of Art & Design in learning about the principles of Graphic Design. This poster was made to highlight the features and variants of the Univers typeface which was designed by Adrian Frutiger in 1957. A quote from Adrian Frutiger reads, “From all these experiences the most important thing I have learned is that legibility and beauty stand close together and that type design, in its restraint, should be only felt but not perceived by the reader.” The Univers family are characteristically cohesive and legible with all of it’s variants. This has made the typeface endlessly usable for countless applications.
